The Fury Shoals are a group of reefs located in the southwest Red Sea, off the coast of Egypt about 5 hours sailing away from Marsa alam.\u00a0 Sataya is a crescent-shaped reef that stretches 2 kilometers long and is home to hundreds of spinner dolphins. John’s reefs consisting of ten bank reefs, which extend 29 km from east to west and roughly 10 km from north to south. They are located 10 sailing hours from Marsa alam.<\/p>\n

The breathtaking walls at Big Habili and Small Habili<\/strong> are covered with large fan corals, gorgonians and soft corals. A look into the blue water is worthwhile here: big fish like sharks, barracudas, or schools of mackerels and tunas are not rare here. With luck you can also see manta rays and dolphins.<\/p>\n At the dive site Umm Erug<\/strong> you can find impressive coral blocks. Not far away is the diving area of St. John’s Cave: Umm Hararim impresses with its unique cave system. The mostly upward open corridors are easy to dive and beautifully overgrown with red corals. The light shows on the bright sandy bottom are unique!<\/p>\n On the way north you pass the diving areas of Sataya, Hamat and Marsa Alam. A dive inside the spacious caves of Shaab Claudio<\/strong> is not only a highlight for cave lovers. Not far from Shaab Claudio is the dive site El Malahi, which means “the playground”. Thanks to its shallow depth, divers can let off steam here between the countless overhangs and passages.<\/p>\n At Abu Galawa Soraya<\/strong> lies a small sailing ship that sank in the 80s and is now overgrown with soft corals. A bit south of Marsa Alam lies the reef of Shaab Sharm. The dive site impresses with a large reef top, a lush wall and large gorgonians.
